THE CHALLENGE
The company had noticed a decline in the calibre of students applying for degree courses. Specsavers wanted to raise awareness of optometry as a profession among the brightest and best school-age students about to choose their options.
THE CO-DEVELOPED SOLUTION
Following research to gauge awareness levels among students, the team developed a concertina-style booklet that presented young, inspiring optometrists in contexts to which students could relate. It was accompanied by an interactive website, with greater detail about how to get involved in optometry. More than 700 stores are now using the materials in school presentations, with staff directly involved in the campaign.
