Winning communications
In 2010, Ofsted began evaluating schools’ success in creating ‘community cohesion’ and ‘engaging with parents’. As these judgements started appearing in Ofsted inspections, it became clear that effective school communications were becoming increasingly important for management teams. Successful communication, however, is not simply about disseminating ‘information’, but rather should focus on reinforcing school values and encouraging pride in the range of achievements within the school community.
School leaders say Words&Pictures’ communications play a significant role in transforming reputations, raising morale and generating real interest in their schools. Some go even further, saying our joint productions attract more students and funding (see case studies).
